The architecture and amenities at Madulkelle exude an antique charm While the hotel itself is a haven of tranquility, I must note that the road leading to the property is in need of repair. Although this was a minor inconvenience, the hotel's management might consider addressing this issue to enhance the overall accessibility and guest experience.

Out of this world views! It feels like you are transported to a fairy tale world, especially if you’re not used to seeing tea plantations eeeverywhere. The staff was helpful and took care to make the guests enjoy their stay. *the only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast, which felt too basic and bread based… it could be improved and brought to the 21st century

From the moment we arrived, we were transported to a special place. The views were breathtakingly spectacular and the setting was extremely unique. The architecture was modest yet charming, and blended subtly into the landscape. The journey leading to the individual tents allowed one to fully immerse in nature, and offered a safe respite. Service was too notch and warm, and attention to detail was immaculate. Definitely a hidden gem in Sri Lanka, and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back again.

Stayed here for a couple of nights and really loved it. It’s an hour from Kandy railway station but worth the windy road into the mountains. The tents are luxurious, the staff friendly and the food is good - I strongly recommend the Sri Lankan curry. The staff were incredibly helpful and organised a tea tour and a hike for us, which included a tour of the fantastic home grown, organic garden. Highly recommend staying here!

The lodge is situated in a pictureque location. The biggest attraction of this lodge is definitely its location. The food variety isn't that great. Vegetarians may not have many choices. The quantity of food is great though. Their soup and pork chops were really good. Roti can be thinner and better. It would be more helpful to have an easier system (e.g buckling) to close the tent.
